TSA & Security

Security at GoLWS

At the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport we are committed to doing everything we can to help you begin and end your trip safely, securely and efficiently. To prepare for your departure, you can assist us—and yourself—by arriving at the airport well in advance of your flight time.

The airlines recommend that you be at the airport at least 1 1/2 hours prior to your scheduled departure, allowing you adequate time to check in and pass through TSA screening.

Delta Airlines stops boarding well before the time for takeoff, so if this could be an issue, you would be wise to check with your airline to determine the cutoff time for your flight to ensure you, and your luggage, get to your destination.

To help you avoid frustrating delays, we suggest that you review the TSA security policies and procedures, which are modified from time to time. They are available on the TSA website.

Permitted & Prohibited Items

Planning ahead and packing properly can facilitate the screening process and ease your travel experience at the airport. Know what you can pack in your carry-on and checked baggage before arriving at the airport by reviewing the lists below. Even if an item is generally permitted, it may be subject to additional screening or not allowed through the checkpoint if it triggers an alarm during the screening process, appears to have been tampered with, or poses other security concerns.
