TSA ConfirmID Program Fee
Beginning February 1, 2026, travelers who arrive at the TSA checkpoint without a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification may use the TSA ConfirmID option to continue their trip. For a $45 fee, passengers can complete advance identity verification through TSA’s ConfirmID payment portal. Travelers using this option should plan for additional screening and potential delays of up to 30 minutes. TSA Introduces Optional $45 Identity Verification for Travelers Without REAL ID Effective February 1, 2026
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will begin offering a new optional identity verification process called TSA Confirm.ID. This option allows travelers who do not have an acceptable form of identification at the security checkpoint to verify their identity for a $45 fee, valid for a 10-day travel period.
Travelers are encouraged to obtain a REAL ID or carry another acceptable form of ID to prevent delays. More than 94% of passengers currently travel with compliant identification.
